Mnozil (Bach) Choral??
Hello,
I will post this in English, because my German is even worse...
I'm looking for the title/composer of the choral sung by Mnozil Brass on their Dvd Seven. It is in the same scene as the Leichte Kavellerie. They stand on the stage with their instruments horizontal in their hands.
I could not find it in the Bach kantaten list.
Someone?

Hi LJ,
I wouldn't look for it in Bach's Oeuvre The context is somewhat bucolic, so it does not fit exactly to Bach (although he did some few secular cantatas) - as well as the music...
I would think this is some sort of folksong, maybe from Austria ? Most likely an alienated quote ...
Maybe some of our Austrian fellas can help
btw: The third line reads: Und steigt aus grüner Au. Eine Au is short for Aue - and my dictionary tells me it should be something like "floddplain" in English...

wilfried
@Friedemann Boltes: fehlt noch ne gute Übersetzung....

Hey LJ,
did you solve your problem? I have both the original 3 voice choir with text and a self arranged 4 voice set (2 trp, trb, tuba). If you need call, let me know.
Greetings, Markus

Re: Mnozil (Bach) Choral??
I did some research...
Many sources give the credit of "Ist alles wohl bestellt" to Kathi Greinsberger, a Bavarian folk music singer, who had a singing carrier with two friends from her home town. Their group was called Fischbachauer Sängerinnen, they performed in the second half of the last century. In that time Greinsberger published 3 sheet music books with 25 songs each, arranged for three singers, named the Fischbachauer Liederbüchl. The second of them contains the song "Ist alles wohl bestellt" and is even named after it (ISBN 978-3-931754-75-4, published 1985). She wrote most of the songs she published herself, but out of 25 songs in that book 4 were not by her, instead they were unknown songs from Tirol. I don't have that book, so maybe there is more information in it that I could not find online.
I found https://youtu.be/jo8kjRDV0kA, an arangement for three flugelhorn, the publisher is willing to share his arrangement if you give him you email-adress. He also gives credit to Kathi Greinsberger.
To summarise it: The song is propably by Kathi Greinsberger but it is possible that it is an older folk song from Tirol.

Streiche "probably", setze "definitely".
